Important Information
It has been brought to the attention of the collector car club Council of BC (CCCC) and the Specialty vehicle Association of BC (SVABC) that the processing time for an application for a Collector plate to be approved or rejected is taking an inordinate amount of time.
The wait time may greatly increase in the new Year due to the 1986 rolling 25 year eligibility criteria of vehicles that will qualify to apply. Therefore,t he noted associations would like your assistance in gathering the following data. The purpose of this exercise is to determine the extent of the issue and then meet with ICBC officials sometime in he forthcoming year. we are especially interested in how many have encountered wait times of 4 weeks or more.
Please request the owner's name, year, make & model of the vehicle, date applied for plates, and date received plates/approval. Send the information to Joe & Neva Ledlin at oldcars@intergate.ca or 604 942 5651 by March first.
